Quality and Cosmetic Standard
Color and Grain Variation
Every piece of wood is unique, even pieces cut from the same log. While we do our absolute best to match the color and the grain throughout every project, there will be natural variation. Every piece accepts stain differently and will cause unique variation in color from what you may have seen in a picture of a previous project, or if you've order from us before and use the exact same finish. This is completely normal and lends itself to the handmade quality.
General Variations and Characteristics
With handmade solid wood furniture, you can expect a few other variations as well. Including open knots, knots that have been filled with epoxy, visible brush strokes, micro-imperfections and textural variations in the finishes, wood filler marks, joint lines, and some general nicks, cracks or other minor imperfections.
We allow up to approximately 1" of variation across all measurements due to the custom nature of the handcrafted furniture we build.
If you do not appreciate these types of characteristics in your furniture, it might be best to not order hand made furniture.
By placing your order, you are agreeing to these standards and understand the variations of using natural solid wood for your furniture.
